Book Review: The Linux Cookbook, 2nd Edition
I just picked up The Linux Cookbook, 2nd Edition and it's really good. I skimmed the first chapter, and introduction to linux and a brief history of the OS and its culture.
The second chapter, "What every Linux user knows", was humbling because there was alot I didn't know.
So far I'm only a few pages into the 3rd chapter, but I really enjoy the 'recipe' style approach they take to providing insight into the Linux/Unix OS.
It's probably not the place to start if you don't have any experience with command line Linux/Unix, but if you think you're pretty good at the terminal you may be surprised at some of the cool tools that exist for Linux.
It's a fun read and I'll post more when I finish the book.
